Happy Holidays!

Friday, December 25, 2015
Hello everyone! It's finally Christmas! Merry Christmas! I haven't really been feeling the Christmas vibes as much as I did when I was younger, but I guess it's just part of growing up. Sometimes, the thought of growing up is just upsetting. It's like I've been feeling less excited for everything. But hey, the holidays are meant to be spent with family and friends. It's that time of the year where you all gather around, share stories and just have fun!

This Christmas, set aside your gadgets for a while and I guarantee you, you will feel better- a lot happier. Let me tell you, the time spent with your family just gives you this feeling of joy that spending with your gadgets can never give you. Also, I recently did this yearly journal entry where I like remind my future self about the events of the past (I update it every Christmas), I don't know, I just felt like sharing this idea and you guys can try it out if you'd like. Well, that's all I have for now- once again, Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Food Trips

Saturday, November 28, 2015
Hello everyone! I'm finally a teen! And even if it's already late November here in Manila, the weather still feels like Summer (*crying*), tell me in the comments below, how's the weather like in your country? So we recently had short breaks and which I spent watching chick flicks, oh well. HAHAHAH. But not only that- I always went on tons of road trips (where I obviously ate a lot) Anyways, since I couldn't really find anything to write about as of now- I bring you a blog post filled with my favourite topic- FOOD!

Over the course of my series of food trips- we ate at Bistro Charlemagne, Breakfast At Antonio's and Gumbo. Unfortunately, since I took these pictures quite about a month ago, I can't remember the names of the food anymore! :( Anyways, stay tuned- I'll be posting soon again!

Ask a Blogger Part 6

Sunday, November 1, 2015

Hello everyone! Happy November! I'm back with another part of my Ask a Blogger segment, for this post- the question I asked was "If you were stuck on an island, who would you bring with you and why?"

Name: Alexandra
Blog: http://www.mstigerlilly.com/
Answer: Hands down, I would bring Dr. Jane Goodall. I've admired her work with Chimpanzees since I was a little girl, and I would love to get a chance to talk with her about it and have her bestow some of her wisdom upon me. Due to the nature of her work, she is already equipped with the necessary outdoor survival skills that I lack and she seems to be very resourceful, raising our chances of actually getting off the island. From what I know, she has a cheery disposition and her constant calmness will help me to not freak out and focus on surviving.

Answer: If I was stuck on an island, I would bring my Mom with me cause I don't know what I would do without her plus she's not afraid of killing bugs/spiders and I'm sure that will come in useful on an island! haha.

Name: Kenzie
Blog: http://sincerelykenz.com/
Answer: If I was stuck on an island and could only bring one person, I would probably bring my dog with me. As lame as this sounds, I would have a buddy to go exploring with and a form of protection as well!

Name: Sockwun
Blog: http://www.extraextravagant.com/
I would bring my best friend, Natalia. She is the type of person who stays positive no matter what life throws at her, and she has the ability to transfer that positivity to the people around her, so I can think of no better person to be stuck on an island with. We would probably spend every day lounging around, talking about everything under the sun (pun intended), because we do that already anyway.

Answer: If I was stuck on an island the person I would bring with me would be Andre Leon Talley.

I know in my heart of hearts (and mostly just imagination) that he is a fellow purse hoarder. What's a purse hoarder you might ask? A purse hoarder is a person who has at least 8 extra purse items with them at all times. As a travel and life style blogger, I believe in always being prepared, so if I crash land on an island with him I know that between the both of us we would have great conversation, at least a dozen magazines, and flawless SPF 50 moisturizer.

Answer: My first thought would be my family, since they have helped me realistically survive, but when I think about it, I'd bring my best friends.  They have helped me through ups and downs in life, and weirdly enough, we think of crazy ideas that may actually work.  I reckon real friends would have fun even through these situations.  However, don't always think negatively about this.  The "island" could be a single patch of land in the middle of the Pacific, or it could also be Boracay island ;)

Ask a Blogger Part 5

Saturday, October 31, 2015

Hello everyone! Happy Halloween! Welcome back to Ask a Blogger, for this part- the question I asked these lovely bloggers is "If you were stuck in an island, what would you bring with you and why?"

Name: Sidney
Blog: http://sidfantasma.blogspot.com/
Answer: I`d probably go with some collection of ancient Greece and Rome poetry. You can really find anything in these poems, from Homer Illiad and Odyssey to mad verses of Nero, written right before he gave an order to burn down the Rome. I wouldn`t feel bored, since I could try and perform some of them, just in front of a palm tree or on a sandy beach. To survive those long years out there, I`d definitely read some of Greek mythology by Hesiodos. People use to say that ancient Greece and Rome answered all the questions out there and anything written later is just an addition. I agree. All those thoughts should be enough to keep me occupied for a long years to come.

Answer: If I was stuck on an island I would probably bring my Dad. He is incredibly handy and could probably build a raft. I’m not, but I’m good at doing as I’m told. He also has a way of always figuring everything out when I’m in trouble and I always feel safe when he’s around. We also have the same sense of humour, so I know I wouldn’t be bored.

Name: Taylor
Blog: http://when-im-older.com/
Answer: If I was stuck on a island, I would most like to have my dog, Oakley, there with me. He always keeps me calm and happy.

Name: Amy
Blog: https://www.amyoes.com/
Answer: My art supplies, I'd be lost if I couldn't paint!

Name: Holly
Blog: http://ramblingsofafakeredhead.com/
Answer: If I were stuck on a desert island, I would want to have with me a notebook, so I can write (because otherwise I might go crazy!) A nice bottle of wine wouldn't go astray, either!

Name: Raewyn
Blog: http://www.beawarriorqueen.com/
Answer: If I were stuck on an island (and I'm going to assume that I can get food, etc, so that my answer is more fun and less real-life priorities) I would bring my Surface or a journal so that I could blog and write! Writing is so important to me, and I often think and write best while "unplugged" in solitude! If I was able to have my Surface and wi-fi, I would totally be able to skype with my baby, because I can't go more than a few hours without her! So, let's just hope I'm never stranded on a deserted island without my babe!!

Answer: Stuck on an island I'd bring my bible for my hope and trust are in Him. ;)

Fall Essentials

Sunday, October 18, 2015
Hello everyone! Fall- not only is it one of the most praised seasons but I also personally think that it's the time where the best clothes or accessories are worn. So, here are some of my fall essentials! I hope you guys like it.

First up, The Black Tux- tuxedo and suit rentals. Higher quality, lower price.

Since a lot of weddings happen during Fall, I figured that The Black Tux would be helpful to all wedding goers or even the grooms themselves. Not only do they rent tuxedos and suits, they sell a variety of accessories as well. I highly recommend this to all, it really would come in handy.

Second on our list, are colors!

When you put together an outfit, or plan events (like weddings, birthdays, etc.) you would need a suitable color scheme if you really want it to blend in with Fall.

Plum (which I am totally loving right now!)

Gold can never be old.

The third and final on our list are accessories!

Beanies, scarves and statement necklaces are the accessories I recommend for you guys this fall! They will always spice up your outfit, guaranteed.

Fall Outfits

Sunday, September 13, 2015
Hello everyone! I am aware that Fall is coming real soon for some of you. So, I have not failed you- here are outfits for Fall! Although as I've stated many times in the past, I've never exactly experienced Fall, so some details of these outfits might not exactly be fit for Fall. Anyways, I hope this will be somewhat helpful!

Oh, and exciting news! I've launched my second blog: Kathrynne Victoria
I might migrate my blog from Blogspot to Wordpress, or just simply keep it there as my second blog. What do you think? What should I post on there? Let me know. :-)

Tis' The Season

Wednesday, September 9, 2015
I may or may not be doing this post too early but hey it's already SeptemBER! It's finally that month where we can listen to Christmas songs, watch Christmas movies without feeling guilty about it. As some of you know, I live in MNL, so we don't get to experience Autumn or Winter (Unfortunately) but hey, the Christmas spirit is still in the air!

It's been a long time since I've done something like this, so here are Christmas-related song and movie recommendations, along with Christmas-related quotes that I've found from Pinterest. I hope this gets you in the Christmas spirit! Even if we're only on the second week of September. (Haha) September's already been going really great so far for me. How's your September been going? Tell me in the comment section below, I'd love to know. Let's chat! :-)

This is a free printable, go check it out here! Maybe you can print this out, frame it and then display it in your family living room? Just a suggestion, haha.

A must watch! I won't lie, this movie was like a roller coaster of emotions.

It's almost a tradition that I listen to these songs every Christmas.

Wham - Last Christmas

Michael Bublé - White Christmas

Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You

Burgoo

Friday, August 21, 2015
Hello everyone! I would just like to share my experience in Burgoo, an American bar and restaurant. I went here after my gym session for lunch with my family, and all I can say is that I've never been more satisfied! The food is great and so is the service. I have never been so full in my life (haha okay maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit too much) but seriously, I would definitely go back to Burgoo.

Root Beer Float

Chicken Diane

Appetizer Platter- it consists of chicken wings, bacon-cheese fries, cheese sticks and squid rings. (for sharing) Yum!

Visit their website.

Sorry for the extremely short post, more exciting posts are coming. Stay tuned! :)

Latest Obsession: Lettering + Watercolor

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry, I know I always start off my posts with a sorry note (which I should really stop doing!) but this post is really quite worthy to start off with a sorry note. I haven't posted anything in two weeks. Like I said, it's because we had our exams. Now that it's over, I can finally post again. Hooray! I promise I'll be posting more and if you have any suggestions for blog posts, feel free to shoot me an email or comment down below.

So I'm pretty sure that my previous post in my "Latest Obsession" segment was also about water color. But I used different materials for the content in that post + I do more letterings (Although I'm not good at it hehe) with my new materials now. I am absolutely loving my new materials and it's called the Koi Waterbrush (not sponsored) and it's also easier to do lettering with it and colouring in the smallest details in my drawings!

You might find this illustration familiar because I recently just changed the picture in my "About Me" part in my sidebar. I don't usually draw people with my water brush since as I said, I do more letterings with it. But I thought, why not give it a try? It's actually quite more fun for me.

Just a bunch of random lyrics and quotes in quite bad lettering. (I'm so sorry)

(Update: I just realised that I misspelled twilight... oh well, what's done is done)

Til' next time!
