3 Quotes To Remember

Sunday, October 19, 2014
Quotes, they have lessons behind them, so today I will be giving you 3 quotes and I shall try to unlock each lesson/meaning so that you guys can carry these lessons throughout your lives! :)

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds you plant." -Robert Louis Stevenson

For me, this means that if for example you've reached your goal or any other achievement, you should always look back and see who/what was the reason why you achieved this certain goal and be thankful, because when you think of it, without this certain person/thing, you probably wouldn't achieve your goal; have gratitude. :)

"Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain... To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices - today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it."
-Kevyn Aucoin

This simply means that you, as a human has the freedom to make your own choices, you're the one who can decide whether you want to be happy or sad. You have to enjoy life no matter what; you make your own destiny.

"Change your thoughts and you change your world"
-Norman Vincent Peale

This means that you shape your point of view of the world, so try to make it a good one. :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! I have made a new challenge (not sure if anyone has already made a challenge like this) but, it's called the 1 word challenge. So basically, one of you can comment on this blog post a word, any word. For example: possible, happy, nice, kindness and etc. and I will have to make a new blog post dedicated to that word, it could be an experience, definition and many more :) hope you all participate once more!! Oh yes! and I'm gonna do these monthly <3

A Chat With A Friend

Saturday, October 18, 2014
Our first participant is Marie Entao and these are her inspiring answers :)

What do you usually like to do when you're bored?

1) I like to think about my life and the stuff that I did and that I plan to do. If I feel like it, I'll make a poem

What do you do when you're sad?

2) I listen to music/ play my violin or talk to my parents. I rarely talk to my friends when I'm sad

What do you do when you're happy?

3) I actually do most of the stuff that I do
when I'm sad (except the no talking to my friends part) if something really good happened, I'll tell someone whom I know will listen to me

Do you believe in the saying YOLO?

4) It depends... Some people say "I'LL YOLO THE TEST" but I think that even though you only live once, you should still remember to balance pleasure with work

What is your comfort food?

Would you rather have tons of homework all crammed in one week and get the school year over with, or would you rather only have 1 homework per week but have a longer school year?

6a) Definitely have the tons of homework crammed in a week
I mean, even with a bit of homework, you'd still have to go to school, and seriously, why would I want to go to school more? :0 besides it'll teach me how to be more responsible and how to have good time management

What are your top places to go to?

7) Heaven :)) but I don't wanna die yet lol
-New York

What is the most amazing thing you have done in your lifetime?

8) I made people happy

Would you rather live forever or die within the week?

9) Die within the week
If I were to live forever, my friends and family won't be immortal along with me. I'd be bored here
If I were to die within the week, I'd have small amount goals to accomplish so that when I die, people will know I did something useful in my life
I'd also be able to make speeches for my friends & family

What was your best experience ever?

10) Living in this world and living my life now with my friends and family :))

Thank you so much, Marie! Hope to see you again next month!! :)

The Things I Love About Christmas

Sunday, October 12, 2014
Hey guys! I haven't posted in a while but here I am again! Today, I will be writing about the things I absolutely love about Christmas. I know it's still a couple of months away and for other countries they'll be going through Autumn. In the Philippines, unfortunately, there is no Autumn :( So, why not celebrate the holidays earlier? Looks like I'm having the Christmas spirit early this year!

1. Sweaters
It's usually hot where I live, but then since the holidays are coming, it gets a bit colder. (Yay!)

2. Christmas Trees
Well, who doesn't love the traditional Christmas tree that everyone must have?

3. Christmas Lights
This is personally one of my favorites, this is because it just sets the mood and all... Well for most rooms I see on Tumblr, most of them have Christmas lights all over their rooms. This honestly makes it 1000x better. (In my opinion)

4. Gifts
The season is obviously not all about the presents, its about sharing your blessings :)

5. Scented Candles
This is also one of my favorites, it also sets the mood and they just smell delicious!

6. Christmas Eve
I just love the feeling of staying up at dawn and waiting for Christmas day to come

7. Christmas Songs
This also sets the mood, a song can just change your mood from bad to good.

8. Christmas Movies
I just love the feeling of staying at home, with the AC on, wrapped around in a blanket, sitting on the couch while watching a movie marathon.

9. Family Vacations
Usually, during the Holidays, my family and I would go to different places and just enjoy the cold weather.

10. Family Get Togethers
The best feeling in the world is sharing happy moments with your family.

11. Everyone Greeting Each Other
It's great when everyone is sharing the Christmas spirit.

12. Hot Choco
Whenever it's Christmas eve, I usually go to my grandparent's home and just get together. Alongside with all the chatting, we get a good cup of hot choco.

13. Cozy Blankets
If it's cold in the room, it just feels great to be wrapped around cozy blankets (and maybe some pillows too).

14. All The Decorations
Usually, when all the decorations are up in my home, it just feels great.

15. The Festive Foods
Who doesn't enjoy all the food?

A Typical Long Weekend

Friday, October 3, 2014
Hi guys! So last Thursday we had a half day and from Friday until Monday we had no school! So of course, we were all happy and all but then unfortunately; we had finals week coming up! :-( Good luck to all of the students out there by the way! But anyways, here are the various things I've done this weekend (aside from studying) :(

Last Thursday night; my family and I went to Robinsons Magnolia mall and went to this amazing restaurant called "Yabu: The House Of Katsu" I really love it there! I ordered the rice with chicken toppings (I'm not really sure what its called hihi) But after dinner, I was so satisfied!

Last Friday, I went to Fisher Mall with my mom's friend's daughters and we ate at Gerry's Grill! (Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture the moment) We just had our dice game.  After, we had dessert at Cold Layers Cafe and I ordered the chocolate snow ice. It was great!

Last Friday night, we decided to stay home but I made s'mores! I kind of had my own recipe, I used the travel cookies + peanut butter and of course, the marshmallows! I put it in the oven for 10 minutes and at 150 degrees celcius. They are just the!!

Sadly, I was stuck at home last Saturday (aka yesterday) But, earlier today I went to Torch Restaurant with my family in Greenhills and ordered Bacon and Eggs! It just made my day 1000x better!

I know this isn't food related but on Sunday afternoon, I went to my grandparent's house (like usual Sundays) and I played the piano with my cousin! :) But before and after that we didn't do much haha #LazySundays

The long weekend isn't over yet but on Monday, I'll be studying huhu :(

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost! Please comment down below if you want more posts like this!

Love Yourself! :)

Thursday, October 2, 2014
I'm just here to remind you that as long as you have the confidence, the courage, the strength to move on from yesterday's scars; you are capable to heal. We all have those bad days that we just cannot avoid. Never think that God is sending you these challenges because He wants you to suffer, He made you and he loves you. Just remember that "God gives his hardest challenges to His strongest soldiers". I know it is hard, but we must always try and never give up. You are perfect in every way. There are people here to help you, including me. Think about it, in 5-10 years, will it be worth it to just hold on? Yes it will be, you have a future ahead of you, there are people who love you and need you. So please never harm yourself, you are wonderful <3
