Dealing With Humiliation

Sunday, August 31, 2014
"It has always been a mystery to me how men can feel themselves honoured by the humiliation of their fellow beings."
Humiliation, we've all been through it.
So today, I'll be helping you deal with it.

Try To Be A Good Sport
After your action of humiliating yourself, people will usually tease you about it. To be honest, it's annoying and I hate it too. BUT, you shouldn't fight them about it or just storm out because of it. You should try to just play along with them because chances are if you try to storm out of some sort, they'll start thinking that you're not all that fun... But if they tease you to the point that you're just really mad and you wanna cry, tell them in a nice way that it's starting to cross the line and just please don't go further with your teasing.

Still Be Confident
If you show to people that they have the power to just tease you about the incident, to the worst point, don't. The more they see that it's really fun to tease you, they'll keep haunting you about the incident forever. Don't give them much of a reaction and they'll probably stop.

I know, it's super annoying when people cross the line, especially if it's someone you know you really can't fight back.

But then at the end of the day, you should learn to forgive :-)

How To Stay Positive

Thursday, August 28, 2014

Photos from Google Images

There'll always be those negative people, who just bring you down in whatever you do. I know, I've experienced this a lot. I mean, everyone has experienced this.

So today, I'll try to help you think more positively.

Try to not be affected of what people say
There are just times that you're proud of your achievements and people try everything of their will to make you feel like that wasn't even good at all, I've had A LOT of experience with these shall I say, competitive people. Due to my experience with these people, I learned that I don't have to prove myself to ALWAYS be the better one. I try to be happy with what I've achieved and what I've worked hard for. I'm not saying that you just go for what's kind of shallow. I'm just saying that at some point, you should achieve happiness, and tell yourself I tried my best and this is what I deserve. Plus, if you have lower self-esteem because of the words these people have said, they will feel good and a winner about it and they'll do it again most likely.

Look at the bright side
A common saying when you're at your worst times.
Honestly, if you really looked at the bright side this'll always help!
This is because, when you're in a horrible situation that you just think cannot get worse, it actually has a bright side and when you think of it. It just might be a blessing in disguise!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, I hope it helped you :)

Life Changing Lecture

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Photo from Google Images

Today, our teacher gave us a lecture about doing good things for others. Not just because we were doing it for the good karma, but for the sake of keeping our world peaceful and united.

Also how we should never obsess over material things since it's not like we will be able to bring this with us up there and we won't feel truly fulfilled.

Her words really stuck to my head because she told us that we should always strive to doing our best in everything, even if there wouldn't be a prize of some sort.

If you do your duty well, good things will come to you; maybe not today or tomorrow but maybe you'll achieve it in the next life.

So, as you guys can tell, I've finally fixed up my blog! Hope you like it :)

Marco Polo Hotel Manila

Sunday, August 24, 2014
So today, my family and I decided to stay over night at the Marco Polo hotel, I really find the rooms very nice, comfy and classy.

Although there was a downside upon my stay, the elevators were quite slow and we couldn't get to our room until 2 hours later due to the amount of guests coming in.

It was ok though, because they were just starting and they're still adjusting. Another good thing was, they offered a late check out and they've given us complimentary drinks.

Since we're on the 29th floor, the view here is marvelous! I really look forward to coming back to Marco Polo Hotel Manila.

So just a while ago, I went to Shangri-la hotel Edsa and it's amazing here, I really enjoy the coziness. (By the way, sorry about the wrinkly bed, I laid down on it earlier hehe)

Also, since I am on the 17th floor, the view here is really great!

For snacks, we ordered Pizza and Crispy pata and Kare-Kare for dinner.

How To Find Happiness

Friday, August 22, 2014
Happiness actually depends on the beholder.

So I'm not sure if my tips will help everyone since these are just general.

But I hope these little tips will help you:

1. Talk To Your Friends
In your saddest times, telling your friends your problem will always help. They will always give advise and this also gives you the chance to know who are your real friends.

2. Watch Comedy
Whether it's in a book, Youtube or your TV. Laughter will help you forget your problems.

3. Eat Your Fave Food
This just makes me forget my sadness.

4. Getting 8 Hugs A Day
It's proven that hugging makes people happier and healthier.

(Learn more at: http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-5756/10-Reasons-Why-We-Need-at-Least-8-Hugs-a-Day.html)

5. Looking Back At Your Happiest Memories
This has honestly been the most helpful tip for me. It just reminds me that life can be better and there's still a tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Watch out for my travel post later! This idea was suggested by my friend Marie Entao! :)

Road Trip, Food Trip

Thursday, August 21, 2014
Hey guys! So today I went on a "road trip, food trip" with my family! The reason is because I have 5 days off from school! Hooray!

So for our first stop, we went to the Sta. Elena club for some lunch. Then after that, we decided to look around Laguna and there were so many beautiful views! After an hour or so, we decided to stop by Starbucks. I got a Cotton Candy Frappucino (it's from the secret menu) along with a banoffee pie (which absolutely tasted amazing!)

Watch out for my next post tomorrow, it'll (hopefully) be another travel post!

Having Better Study Habits

Sunday, August 17, 2014
So today, I will be giving you 5 techniques on how to study better for school!

1. Always listen to the teacher
I know, I know; the teacher's discussion won't always be the best thing yet, but I am telling you, not everything will be in the book and this really helps me.

2. Take Down Notes
This technique is connected to the first one, so as I said listen to the teacher but it's not like you'll remember all this information at once! Take down notes so that you'll be able to look back at the discussion.

3. Read ahead
Advanced reading will always help you participate in class more since you already know what the teachers are talking about!

4. Highlight the main details of your lesson
Sometimes, there are unnecessary sentences in your book and you are only assigned to know the key details, so highlighting them makes it a lot easier to spot the next time you read your book.

5. Get your REST
Whether it's an exam or another normal school day coming up, you should always have your brain and body rested, so that the next day, you're ready for more knowledge! (haha)

Hey there! Sorry for not posting lately, but now I'm here, so to make up for the loss I'll try to post twice a week now!
